Jiachen Wang’s academic interests lie in developing intelligent autonomous agents. He worked on two research projects. One concerns a new architecture of neural networks robust to adversarial attacks by simulating the human brain's visual signal processing pipeline. Another is a self-supervised reinforcement learning algorithm that enables agents to finish complex control tasks with only image-based observation. Currently, he’s working on model-based RL algorithms tailored for partially-observable cooperative multi-agent games.
He received his bachelor’s degree from ShanghaiTech University in Computer Science and Technology in 2022. He participated in research internships at Shanghai Center for Brain-Science and Brain-Inspired Technology and Shanghai Qizhi Institute (affiliated with IIIS, Tsinghua University). He will be pursuing a master’s degree in ECE.
